Occurence
Lanceaspis occurs in the pragian of the Mader Platform in the South of Morocco
Recognizing Lanceaspis species
Only the type species Lanceaspis hammondi (Corbacho, 2014) is known.

Cephalon
The cephalon has a prominently elongated triangular projection that is longer than the rest of the cephalon. The glabella is moderately vaulted and S2 does not reach the glabellar furrow. The eyes are kidney shaped and haw 24 rows of up to 7 lenses.
Thorax
The thorax has 11 segments. The axis is moderately vaulted and wide. The pleurae have blunt and rounded tips.
Pygidium
The pygidium is small and has a rounded posterior outline. It has 6 axial rings and five pygidial pleural furrows. There are 5 pairs of small and flat pygidial spines. There is no triangular medial spine.
